Poultry Farm Business Plan (Kenya)

This example poultry farm business plan follows Mr. Karugu from Kenya Nakuru County, an ex-telecom engineer turned backyard broiler and layer farmer. Whilst becoming disillusioned with his employed position, Mr. Karugu's wife took up rearing 200 broilers in an annexed part of their residential plot. Turning them over once every four weeks, Mr. Karugu saw the potential for what had otherwise been a side income earner to transition to the main family income. This is my analysis and lessons learned from this insightful interview.
